Zihinsel Durumları Belirleme Ölçeği’nin (ZDBÖ) Türkçe Uyarlamasının Geçerlik ve Güvenirlik Çalışması
Abstract
The aim of this study was to examine the psychometric properties of the Turkish version of The Certainty About Mental States Questionnaire (CAMSQ). The study was conducted with 565 participants (392 women and 173 men) aged 18 and 65 from non-clinical Turkish-speaking adults. The participants were administered the Cognitive Empathy Scale of Affective and Cognitive Measure of Empathy Scale (ACME-COG), the Reflective Functioning Questionnaire (RFQ-6), and the Mentalization Scale (MentS). The concordance between the two-factor structure predicted in CAMSQ was examined with confirmatory factor analysis. The Turkish version also confirmed the analysis results, the number of items, and the two-factor structure (Self-Certainty and Other-Certainty) in the original form of the scale. There is a positive correlation between the sub-dimensions of CAMSQ and ACME-COG (0.502<r<0.632), a negative correlation between RFQ-6 and a low level (-0.346<r<-0.204), and a moderate correlation between MentS and a positive correlation. A statistically significant relationship was observed (0.218<r<0.574). When the corrected item-total score correlations obtained for the sub-dimensions were examined, it was seen that all values were greater than .30 and between .54 and .70 for the items under the self-determination sub-dimension. It was found that it ranged between .45 and .68 for the sub-dimension of Other-Certainty. Cronbach's α and McDonald's omega (ω) values for the Self- Certainty sub-dimension of the scale were .89 and .90, respectively; For the sub-dimension of Other-Certainty, it was found to be at the level of .88 and .89. For test-retest reliability, the reliability coefficient between the original form of the scale and two applications made three weeks apart was found to be 0.82, and the reliability coefficient between the Turkish form and two applications made three weeks apart was 0.96. Considering the psychometric properties stated for the CAMSQ, it has satisfactory psychometric properties to be used in studies to be conducted in Turkey.
